We want to raise funds to support our crucial Day Services for older adults in the city of Edinburgh. We help group members experience better mental and physical health, be more independent, and feel less lonely; and provide respite for their families.

Since the pandemic and cost of living crisis, more socially isolated older adults / service users have a diagnosis of dementia and mobility issues, increasing pressures on their families. Socially isolated older adults suffer worse physical and mental health, often resulting in increased hospital admissions or earlier care home stays. We want to improve their wellbeing, help reconnect with their community, lead more fulfilling and independent lives, and provide respite for their families.
Our Day Services bring people together. Wheel-chair accessible, our Services offer care and companionship, a nutritious meal, outings, and creative activities – including our innovative Music for Health and Wellbeing project - tailored to each person’s interests and abilities. Currently we support over 50 people (average age 83) each week. The funding will help us provide more places for more people in need, and more respite for their families and carers.
