“Children like what they know, and they eat what they like” says Dr Lucy Cooke, a chartered Research Psychologist with a specialism in children’s eating. In the UK, 33% of children aged 5-10 years eat less than one portion of vegetables a day. Dietary patterns established in childhood typically continue into adulthood, and poor diets are now the leading cause of deaths globally.

We provide resources and training for teachers and early years practitioners to deliver a wide range of simple, cost-effective activities, that link to the national curriculum. Our lessons unlock curiosity about food, helping children develop their own tastes and preferences while expanding their palates. By establishing familiarity and preferences for healthy fruits and vegetables, TastEd can support children navigate the complex food environment in which we now live.
