There are approx 26,000 blind and visually impaired children in the UK. Research reports that 43% of them will be bullied and 86% will be excluded from everyday activities by their peers, such as being invited to birthday parties. With 80% of the information we receive reaching us through our eyes, there are real concerns for the educational and social impact this will have on their lives. They often feel isolated and excluded from the opportunities available to their sighted peers.

We create, manufacture and publish unique Touch to See books that give blind and visually impaired children shared access to pictures, books and learning. We adapt the world’s best loved children’s picture books into accessible, tactile audio formats that can be explored through touch and sound. Carefully designed to be shared with sighted friends and family our Touch to See books are loaned completely free to blind and visually impaired children across the UK from our varied postal library.
