The Women’s Support Centre, Surrey provides specialist support to women with complex needs, including those affected by abuse, trauma, addiction and the justice system. We seek funding for our Peer Mentor Programme which offers lived-experience support to empower recovery.

Clients often face isolation, disempowerment & a lack support networks due to their complex needs, leading to disengagement & hindering recovery. The Women’s Support Centre offers gender specific, trauma-informed & client-led support from women by fostering trust & belief. At the right point in their recovery, clients can become Peer Mentors. The Peer Mentor Service complements existing services & creates next steps in a journey to self-reliance, volunteering & employment.

The Peer Mentor Service creates a powerful cycle of belief, empowerment, and resilience, benefiting both clients and mentors. Through group sessions and workshops, it fosters connection, builds confidence and promotes stability. Peer mentors, drawing from lived experience, gain valuable skills, boosting their confidence and employability. This dual-impact approach empowers women to heal, grow and thrive, creating lasting positive change.
