We urgently need more funding for the life-saving counselling we provide for survivors of sexual violence. We have over 350 women and girls waiting for our support, and the average waiting time is now two years. Seeking support after experiencing sexual violence takes courage - don't make them wait.

Sexual violence shatters lives and leaves deep scars. The impact of sexual violence can be life-changing, affecting every single aspect of a survivor's life - from their ability to work, look after themselves, look after their children, do the things they used to, to feeling safe and in control. Survivors frequently experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. Physical health can also be seriously affected in many ways.

The devastating impact of trauma highlights the urgent need for comprehensive specialist support services. We help by providing a diverse range of effective services that meet the needs of survivors in Oxfordshire who are affected by sexual violence, including our specialist, one-to-one counselling, which we desperately need to do more of. All of our services are free to those that need them.
