With the rising cost of living causing increased financial and family/social strain, private counselling is out of reach for many people. Capacity in NHS mental health services is also extremely stretched. This leaves a large group of adults and children whose wellbeing and mental health needs are not addressed adequately and therefore at risk of further degradation. Our mission at Cogwheel is to step in to seek to meet demand and offer reduced cost counselling when ‘life slips out of gear'

Cogwheel is seeking to help meet an increasing demand for it's counselling and increase session affordability; - increase the counselling session capacity that the charity offers through the number of sessions provided by paid counsellors. In recent years the number of trainee/volunteer counsellors has heavily reduced resulting in the need for more paid counsellors - increase the number of reduced cost counselling sessions to those on low incomes through the Cogwheel Counselling Support Fund
