The growing disparity between the provision of music in state and independent schools means most children are missing out on valuable music education. In state primary schools, music provision has fallen due to budgetary issues with only 44% of lessons delivered by a music specialist. "This inequality is not just deeply unfair to children in the state sector, it risks depriving our culture of future talents as diverse as Adele, Stormzy and Sheku Kanneh-Mason.” Geoff Taylor, BPI &BRIT Awards

Working with local state primary schools in wards with relatively high deprivation levels and supported by The Ed Sheeran Foundation, we deliver unique 10-week music programmes where 8-11 years olds have the opportunity to play in a rock band or use music production software such as GarageBand or Logic Pro X to create soundtracks and compositions with lyrics. The end of term gig provides an incredible opportunity to perform in front of peers, creating a real sense of achievement.
