We believe in an Oxford where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential, and where local people make decisions about positive change for themselves and their communities. Help us run our collaborative community projects to equip and empower local people to make Oxford more equal.

Oxford is one of the UK’s most unequal cities. Though the city has great wealth, 9 neighbourhoods are in the 20% most deprived nationally. There’s a life expectancy gap of 13 years between men in North Oxford and men in Greater Leys: a neighbourhood in the top 10% most deprived. 26% of Oxford’s children live below the poverty line. Poverty limits children’s educational attainment and health. We want this to change, but local people often don’t have the resources to make their ideas a reality.

We run collaborative community projects tackling Oxford’s inequalities. We run tutoring and mentoring for children so that all children can achieve in school and in life. Our Parent Peer Support creates a safety net of community for when times are hard. We help local people make change. We provide funding, networks, and space at our Hub to resource local ideas to tackle Oxford’s challenges. We bring together Oxford University, the Councils, and NHS with local groups to amplify local voices.
