While the Urban Tree Festival has grown from year to year since its founding in 2018, outreach to underserved communities has been constrained by lack of secure funding. This campaign will help us achieve the goal of extending our reach to diverse communities across London and beyond. Non-white participants comprised 23.5% of participants in 2024 and a key aim this year to increase the representation of these groups.

We will reach out to diverse groups of people across London, building and connecting communities through participation in protecting, sharing and enjoying the city’s green spaces. The Festival will feature a variety of wellbeing-focused events, including creative writing workshops, forest bathing sessions, and art classes, etc that will appeal to a diverse range of groups. Also, with our partner Age UK, we will focus on specific older communities.
