Cancer is the biggest medical cause of death of children in the UK with 4,000 children diagnosed every year. We provide practical and emotional support to families in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire when their child is diagnosed. We are there when our families need it most.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family’s life is disrupted. They face an uncertain future, overwhelming information, rising costs, and intense worry. One or both parents may need to stop working, with one staying at the hospital and the other caring for siblings at home. While medical teams address their child's health, these families often feel isolated, financially strained, and lacking support. Additionally, our informative booklets can help guide and support them.
We believe that no family should face childhood cancer alone. Our service aims to improve the experiences of the whole familiy, ease feelings of isolation, anxiety, and financial strain, while helping families focus on making lasting memories. We provide emotional, practical, and financial support to families across the three counties, offering diagnosis support packs, financial support, home and hospital visits, bereavement services, school liaison, and family-centred events.
