The Shewsy is a busy youth centre in Everton. We provide a variety of sport & fitness facilities and facilitate outdoor pursuits activities, residential experiences and youth exchange visits that the club members would not normally have the opportunity to participate in, when funding permits.

The Shewsy is a Safe Hub space for young people to meet outside of school. The centre is a diversion from engaging in crime, being groomed into negative behaviours or causing a nuisance in the ward. We provide non-formal education on impact of crime, grooming & peer pressure, county lines and much more so youths can make better informed life choices. Youths can learn new skills, be creative and engage in sports. The Youth Council already has a voice in local issues that affect young people.

We are facilitating opportunities for youths to have a voice and be heard by local politicians and health/welfare agencies, This Challenge will provide opportunities for young people to participate in exchanges to meet with other youths in rural areas, larger cities and other countries to discuss how their needs are being met. It could shape children & young peoples services potentially saving millions. It will create active citizens and enable them to become our politicians in the future.
