Demand for mental health support is rising as funding decreases, with c.90,000 people in our area experiencing a mental health problem at any time. Poor mental health is linked to isolation, low self-esteem, workplace struggles, poor physical health, lower earnings, and reduced life expectancy. Neurodivergent, marginalised (including LGBTQ+), low-income, and physically unwell individuals face even higher risks, and we know we can do more to support more people and combat this disadvantage.

1: Expanding services to engage more people in ways that meet their needs, like our Dungeons & Dragons group for neurodivergent people, and online creative programmes for carers/people with social anxiety. 2: Growing volunteer capacity and partnerships so we can offer more services, longer-term support and growth opportunities for clients. 3: Diversifying our support (e.g. running or nature-based groups), which in turn opens new funding/commercial avenues, supporting financial sustainability.
