Beneficiaries
Many of our participants are living through the hardest time of their lives—waiting years in limbo for their asylum decisions, unable to work or look forward. In this time they often struggle to build friendships and gain any sense of normality - due to a mix of financial, systemic, cultural and psychological barriers. This precarity and isolation is particularly damaging for children - an issue exacerbated by last year's riots.
This project offers a sense of community and an escape from daily fears while equipping participants with key cultural knowledge to help them rebuild their lives in the UK. Through expert-led workshops and cultural experiences, we encourage self-expression, learning and fun! We cover travel, food, and entry fees to remove financial barriers, ensuring refugee and asylum-seeking families can access activities many take for granted.
