Our coaches, who live and work in our west London community, deliver football programmes that build confidence, reduce isolation, improve health and wellbeing and foster a community spirit of togetherness and resilience for roughly 400 young people per year in an area of great deprivation.

Young people in west London are facing the brunt of a nation-wide physical and mental health crisis. Loneliness and the Grenfell Tower fire have exacerbated a problem that is rooted in inequality and typified by socio-economic deprivation. 1 in 4 young people in the UK struggle with mental health issues and two-thirds of young people are inactive, while the childhood obesity crisis is on the rise, too.

West London contains some of the most deprived areas in the country according to IMD and IDACI data. We provide football programmes in the local community completely free of charge, and work actively with parents and other community stakeholders to maintain an active presence in the lives of our beneficiaries, improving their mental and physical wellbeing and confidence, bolstering social capital and contributing to the collective sense of community.
