Child poverty robs children of security, potential, and a child's future. Studies show children in poverty feel anxious, struggle with sleep, and can't envision a bright future. With poverty linked to criminal exploitation and low educational outcomes, urgent action is needed to break the cycle.

Children in poverty face a loss of security, potential, and future opportunities, leading to anxiety and hopelessness. Many are vulnerable to criminal exploitation, with poverty being a key risk factor. If we don’t act, they will face cycles of crime, trauma, and limited opportunities affecting their entire future. Our call to action is to break the cycle of poverty by providing solutions for these children and give them a fighting chance to unlock their potential and prevent any long-term harm.

At the Chandran Foundation, we help children stay in school, improve academically, and build resilience. We work from age 8 through to secondary school to break the cycle of poverty, prevent exclusion, and protect children from exploitation. Our continuous support ensures children in poverty thrive and build brighter, safer futures. We transform children's lives by creating a continuous safety net that gives these children the tools they need to break the cycle of disadvantage and violence.
