Teenagers from the most disadvantaged communities in London feel huge pressure transitioning into adulthood. Many encounter extreme hardship, combined with challenges such as poverty, racism, youth violence and negative peer pressure. Young people feel anxious, depressed and lack a sense of belonging. These factors lead to poor mental health, a lack of safety and poor school engagement. LIFEbeat creates the safety where children can express themselves and develop empathy, confidence and hope.

LIFEbeat has a 16-year track record delivering creative, transformational programmes that give vulnerable young people hope and opportunities, and alleviate isolation, anxiety and depression, whilst building self-esteem and resilience. Our 2025 Summer Camp programme and ongoing support will offer young people safe processes to tell their stories, access to creative, personal development workshops and opportunities to become part of the LIFEbeat community to support their ongoing journey.
