We are a youth-led charity who organise a solar-powered bus stage at major UK music festivals to engage, educate and empower a new audience in the intersectional climate movement.

Situation
The majority of young people are not engaged in the climate movement. Less than 0.03% of school students worldwide joined the climate strikes. Many young people feel disconnected from the climate movement: they think that the crisis is too big to solve, depressing or that traditional activism is inaccessible, confusing, aggressive or unrelatable. Also, many people do not realise that the climate crisis is intersectional and is interlinked with many other social justice issues they care about.
Solution
We are using music to reach the majority of youth who haven’t been to a climate protest but are open to finding out more in a less intimidating, fun environment. We take an open-top solar-powered pink bus stage to major festivals, where we draw festival goers in with live music on top of the bus, and in between sets we host talks and workshops from youth activists on climate justice and a wide range of intersectional social justice issues. The bus is modern, low emission and runs on HVO fuel.
