THE HERDS is a vast public art and climate action project engaging communities in 20 cities from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle to take part in a new model of ‘art and climate’ activism. We need your help to bring this ambitious project to life and create a new kind of climate action movement.

Situation
In recent years, climate scientists have expressed concern that the hard data they provide fails to resonate with the public, nor does it lead to action. As a consequence, they have been asking artists to find ways to tell the story in a way that generates an emotional connection to the realities and provoke communities to take action.
Solution
As experienced theatre makers and story tellers we know we can create emotional, sensory, world class public art that inspires tangible, positive action, helping communities believe that change is possible and giving them agency within the climate movement. Our previous project, Little Amal, took one of the most pressing issues of our time and turned it from a news story to a human story. From statistics and numbers to emotion and heart. We want to do the same with THE HERDS.
