The climate emergency and biodiversity crisis demand urgent action. The Hebrides, a vital coastal region for marine life, needs protection. Whales and dolphins face huge global threats, with over a quarter of species at risk of extinction. Even in Scottish waters, a beloved killer whale community will vanish within our lifetime. Eco-anxiety is overwhelming, especially for young people, who are increasingly worried about the natural world and want their voices heard on how we should protect it.

Connecting people with the natural world is key to its protection. On the Isle of Mull, the Hebridean Whale Centre makes world-class wildlife experiences accessible, uniting whale experts and the public. We provide hands-on opportunities to connect with Scotland’s seas, spot whales in the wild, and engage in conservation. Through these activities, we empower people to become whale champions, fostering a deeper appreciation for our oceans and inspiring meaningful action for marine conservation.
