In remote and rural areas, marginalised communities face the worst of climate change and developmental gaps with no educational or economic prospects. Limited energy access pushes fossil fuel reliance, risking both human health and planetary health. Burning wood leads to deforestation, soil degradation and loss of local ecosystems. This campaign addresses these urgent challenges. Together, let's reduce carbon emissions and create a brighter future; join us in supporting the Solar Mamas!
We partner with marginalised rural and indigenous communities, focused on education and women's empowerment. Despite limited formal education our solar engineers spend 3 intensive months learning how to build, install and maintain solar home lighting systems. Each Solar Mama will electrify at least 50 homes. Your support, doubled by BigGive, amplifies our mission: you will empower women to illuminate their communities using clean energy and reduce their community's carbon footprint. Join us!
