The Park plays a vital role in providing access to the countryside and green space for more than three million people who live within 10 miles of its borders. By increasing awareness of this beautiful but fragile landscape, we hope we can protect and preserve the Park for future generations to enjoy

Situation
We are seeking funding to shore up our role as champions of the Colne Valley Regional Park (CVRP); responding to unprecedented development pressure and working to ensure the Park (featuring beautiful landscapes, crucial river networks, and varied ecosystems) is protected for future generations to enjoy.
Solution
We’ll address this problem through effectively responding to planning applications/developments, carrying out advocacy and petitioning to encourage positive policies that are conscious of the local environment/wildlife, and aiming to reach figures of influence (e.g. local MPs, national government, and local council leaders) to advocate for the CVRP as a crucial asset. We will also build a compelling evidence base and produce new resources to support our campaigning.
