Situation
Even in our rural communities, young people are spending less time in nature than ever before. People who work with children often site lack of confidence as a barrier to taking them outdoors. This is leading to children missing out on the many benefits of outdoor learning and to a disconnect with the environment. In the words of the great Sir David Attenborough: “No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced.”
Solution
Targeting settings looking to develop their outdoor provision, our highly experienced, knowledgeable and passionate staff will design and deliver activities in local woodlands that will enthuse and excite young people and staff and demonstrate the many opportunities the outdoors holds. They will develop skills, deepen their nature connection and increase their confidence in the outdoors empowering them to make more effective use of it for learning, creating protectors of our environment.
