We would like to expand on our waste reduction projects to empower our local community to contribute to Net Zero targets, reduce their waste and save money.

Over consumption and inadequate recycling opportunities are leading to an excess of waste, contributing to the climate crisis. In the context of reduced council recycling services and a cost of living crisis, it has been increasingly challenging for local communities to prioritise efforts to reduce waste, and as a result difficult to feel engaged with the Scottish Government's Net Zero targets.
We have a number of projects that contribute to waste reduction - Linlithgow Repair Shop, Tool Library and Community Shed, ReFab textile reuse and upcycling group, our Farmily local food growing group and our Terracycle collection point. All of these engage with the local community and give them low cost (usually free) money saving and waste reducing options alternatives. By expanding on our existing projects we can capitalise on the audiences we have, whilst attracting a broader demographic.
