Wild Days Out provide children growing up in green-space deprived urban areas with a unique hands-on outdoor experience that can help build a lifelong connection to nature. In 2025 we want to give this opportunity to over 1,000 children who are most likely to miss out on spending time in nature.

Situation
Young children growing up in urban, economically disadvantaged areas are less likely to have quality green spaces within 15 minutes of home and are more likely to miss out on spending time outdoors, building a connection to nature. Giving children this opportunity helps improve their health and wellbeing, helps them become confident learners and ensures we can inspire the next generation of nature custodians. Wild Days Out engages children most likely to miss out and makes nature accessible.
Solution
In 2025 we want to run 35 wild days out for urban schools. The events will ignite the children’s curiosity, help them develop new skills and give them lasting memories to take home. Our staff are experienced in delivering children’s events and provide activities such as bug hunting, nature identification, campfire cooking and teach the children to safely handle tools. The emphasis is on learning while having fun and building the children’s confidence and desire to spend time in nature.
