The past 10 years have been the hottest on record, extreme weather events increasingly punctuate our calendars, and one in six species in the UK are at risk of extinction. Regularly scrolling through stark statistics like these leaves many of us feeling helpless, hopeless, and unable to make a difference. This is the problem that CAT continues to address. At CAT, we help people to overcome these feelings by giving them the knowledge and skills they need to take action and make a difference.

At CAT, learners of all ages can feel nourished by nature. This helps them to realise their own agency and sense of purpose in the face of global challenges. Once a disused quarry, CAT has been transformed into somewhere where nature thrives, with rich gardens, woodlands, and wildlife alongside innovative technology. By helping to cultivate this extraordinary place, our volunteers engage in a beautiful reciprocal relationship that inspires and energises them to make change.
