The climate crisis is escalating while nature and biodiversity are in critical decline. Increasing tree cover is an essential solution, a key tool in the toolkit, but achieving this requires collaboration. Farmers, who manage over 80% of Wales' land, play a key role in creating a sustainable future. By supporting them in adopting practices that balance food production, biodiversity, and climate resilience, we can pave the way for a healthier, more sustainable landscape.

We use a consensus approach working with farmers, our community and a network of experts, promoting woodland creation by leveraging trees' multiple benefits to address diverse priorities. We ensure trees are planted in the right places and work to enhance other habitats, such as wildflower meadows, wetlands, and pasture. By collaborating with partners across environmental and agricultural sectors, we develop solutions that create landscapes can support nature’s recovery and farming resilience.
