Situation
Theatre is uplifting, inspiring and hugely beneficial to children’s social development and education. But with the average price of a theatre ticket increasing to over £57 in 2023, many families can’t afford to take their children. Many children with disabilities can only attend specialist access performances, and these are few and far between. Drama activities outside school are also often inaccessible and expensive. Sadly, this means thousands of children miss out on theatre and drama.
Solution
For 28 years, we have been working with experts both within our staff team and externally to deliver outstanding drama-based activities for families, schools and community groups. We will use our knowledge and experience to continue our range of inspiring, uplifting activities, and create innovative new projects that support confidence, skill development and emotional wellbeing, including affordable performing arts courses and specialist accessible performances for children with disabilities.
