Due to poverty, only 5% of Mwemba Primary school’s 250 pupils passed the exam to go onto Secondary school last year. 90% have no breakfast or lunch..Land at the school is totally barren, so it is unsustainable.. There is no borehole for safe drinking water & to cultivate vegetables and fruit. The school has no money to deepen the borehole, solar panels etc.. The children have no food security & poor nutrition which is critical for their health, mental development, growth, & their immune system.

Raise funds to create an organic school garden Employ a builder skilled in creating irrigation systems, to install a fully functional system for growing crops for the children to eat, and fresh drinking water Through education in organic growing, along with innovative approaches to overcome the challenges of establishing a garden Access to good quality seeds and a reliable water source for irrigation This will be sustainable, as the equipment will be inspected regularly by the builder and staff
