Young people who are blind/partially sighted and/or Deaf/hard of hearing have very limited opportunities to engage in bespoke musical activities, which offer them both instrumental and vocal training with a chance to participate in a performance for family and friends.

Musical Senses, a project run by the Tri-Borough Music Hub, gives young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) the rare opportunity to receive specialised musical training and skill development, taught by experienced music practitioners. The Hub offers year-long workshops for these SEND young people as well as an end of year intensive 3-day workshop which concludes in a performance for family and friends. In 2025, we hope to offer the third year of Musical Senses.
