Our project responds to local population data & needs, including acute deprivation in 9 city areas affecting education, mental and physical health & life chances. Oiur city and county have an above average ageing population with many older people facing isolation, ill health & loneliness.

Pop-up Clay Clubs will involve people of all ages experiencing loneliness, isolation or disadvantage related to age, health or poverty, including migrants. This project builds on 3yrs of successful heritage outreach via community partners: evaluation shows impacts of increased confidence, new social networks & improved experience of chronic pain/depression. In the final session of the programme, participants really delight in visiting the Museum for pottery painting, a guided tour & refreshments
