Loneliness can affect anyone, and social isolation means different things to different people. People can experience different levels of isolation and loneliness over their lifetime, particularly as personal circumstances change. Feeling lonely or isolated can increase people’s risk of poor physical and mental health. Autistic people, carers and people with dementia or long-term health conditions are significantly more likely to experience or be at risk of loneliness or social isolation.

Whilst we cannot solve the problem of loneliness alone, we can use the power of creativity to bring people together. With your support, our creative programme can reach more people experiencing or at risk of loneliness; helping to build new social connections and create a sense of belonging. Your support will enable us to continue providing tailored creative activities for wellbeing, offering more autistic young people, carers and people with dementia greater access to creative activities.
