Earth's life-supporting systems are in crisis. Over 60% of the UK public face mental health issues linked to climate & ecological collapse. There are few opportunities for people to engage with their fears & hopes, explore alternative stories & envision a more caring world. Arts & Culture have a profound ability to inspire & mobilise communities. This potential remains underutilised & unresourced. The coming years are pivotal; we must harness the transformative power of culture to drive change.
Solution
Through our UK hubs and global network, we will empower artists and cultural organisations to co-create transformative initiatives with their communities addressing the climate and ecological crises. These initiatives will amplify the voice of those impacted by the Earth crisis through bold storytelling, foster spaces for care, community and reconnection, and drive and inspire regenerative action.
