An independent arts venue with an important history of mental health and music therapy, The Horton is appealing for funding towards our core costs. We need support to maintain our beautiful listed building so that more people can be part of our creative community and experience improved wellbeing.

Situation
We receive no core funding. Income from ticket sales and our café-bar alone do not cover the costs of running and maintaining our listed building and delivering a creative community programme. Basic maintenance and utilities will total more than £60,000 this year. Without further fundraising we cannot continue developing the creative opportunities and high-quality artistic programme that is so close to the heart of the mission for the our charity.
Solution
With core funding support, we would be able to enhance our creative programme, support more young artists and scope new opportunities for the public that have a real legacy. There is huge amount of potential that we are not able to realise. Currently, many fantastic community projects and creative collaborations are on the backburner, where they have been for some time.
