Every year we work with community groups around South Yorkshire to broaden access to the festival, offering free tickets, community workshops and closed sessions as well as discounts, so that people of all ages and backgrounds can come to DocFest. We are seeking match funds to support this work

Access to arts and culture is often not possible for people from marginalised groups, young people and those who face barriers to participation, even though at Sheffield DocFest many of the films we show directly speak to marginalised experience and urgent issues.
Our community programme is intended to target underrepresented groups and those who otherwise would not engage with our programme, to provide supported entry ways into our events and workshops.
