Art UK is an art education charity and the online home to nearly 3,500 UK public collections of art and hundreds of thousands of artworks. We are looking to raise £40,000 to help our charity share more of the UK’s extraordinary national collection of art with the world and tell its story.

Situation
90% of the UK’s national art collection is in store and much of this art is not online. Our work is radically changing this, making what is publicly owned, publicly accessible – to anyone, anywhere. Public galleries are stretched. We provide support to UK museums by giving them a shared digital platform to showcase their art collections. This is an economic and efficient way of sharing the benefits of scale and technology across all collections so they can reach bigger audiences.
Solution
We will continue to add artworks from collections to the Art UK platform, which is also rich in story content, learning resources and public engagement opportunities. We will share this with a global audience of over 5m people a year. We will encourage people of all backgrounds to learn about, visit and enjoy art and develop creative skills. We will provide learning resources for teachers, students and lifelong learners, and a range of engaging and accessible public engagement opportunities
