Since 2011, we've defied expectations in Hackney Wick. From our DIY warehouse beginnings to becoming one of London's most vital creative forces. Now, as we build a permanent home, your support will bridge our funding gap during closure and help us continue working with our artists and communities.

East London's regeneration has brought dramatic changes, but significant inequality persists in the area, impacting how local communities access the arts. Our project to build a permanent home is about to begin—and that means we'll soon close our doors for a year during construction. So this is a critical moment: we'll lose ALL the ticket and bar income that normally helps sustain our work to engage artists, local residents, and young people, from the diverse communities across East London.

The Yard Theatre is special. We're where boundary-pushing artists premiere work that later transfers to the National Theatre or gets made into award-winning TV. We're where locals who've never set foot in a theatre feel at home. We're where breakthrough talent is discovered and where community forms on our dancefloor. With your support, we'll continue this vital work during our closure, ensuring we preserve the unique spirit that defines us and bring our communities on this journey with us.
