RADA’s world-leading training in the dramatic arts is highly specialised and expensive to deliver. Your support will enable us to invest in our training so that it remains of the highest standard.

Situation
As a leading cultural organisation in its 120th year, RADA plays an essential part in developing a talent pipeline for the creative industries. We train some of the most talented actors and theatre makers from a wide range of backgrounds. Our work opens up pathways into higher education for individuals from communities that are under-represented in the arts. We know that by removing barriers to our training, we are increasing diversity across the academy, and in turn effecting positive change in a more representative industry into which our students will go onto to gain employment.
Solution
It costs RADA £36,000 a year to train one student, and even after receiving fees and government support, there is still a gap £15,000 per student, per year to fill. We want to ensure that students with the most potential can study at RADA regardless of their financial background. We must raise at least £1.8million a year to deliver comprehensive training and to support our students with bursaries to enable them to study without concern for their financial situation. By investing in our training and supporting our students, we can work with educators who are leaders in their fields; attract the most talented students regardless of their background or personal circumstances and prepare our graduates to be the leaders of the future. Our vision is to create an inclusive, creatively challenging Academy that has a positive influence on society.
