We use the life-changing power of music and storytelling to support people’s recoveries from homelessness. Our participants perform alongside world-class professionals and ensembles, allowing them to be recognised not for the challenges that they have faced but for what they can offer the world.

Homelessness levels rose again in 2024, with 1 in 160 people in England now homeless (Shelter, Dec 24). Nearly 4,000 people are sleeping rough on any given night and 326,000 are living in temporary accommodation. Singing and opera can enable people who have experienced trauma to reconnect to themselves and other people, forging relationships that enable them to feel part of society. “It’s really brought me out of my shell, given me a life, given me something to thrive for”

We run a year-round performing arts programme that provides ongoing support as well as creative and performance opportunities for people with experience of homelessness at weekly workshops in leading arts venues and drop-in sessions at homelessness shelters. Our expert workshop leaders create a safe space for people affected by homelessness to leave their troubles at the door and focus on the value of their creative ideas and voices.
