Drought in summer. Flooding in winter. Dwindling wildlife. The climate crisis is impacting people’s lives right now. Beavers will help. Often as part of rewilding projects, they can repair our damaged rivers and boost biodiversity. Momentum is growing and you can be part of the beaver’s return.

We are in a climate and ecological emergency and need to take action. Flood and drought are having an increasing impact on our lives and the natural world. Wildlife has been pushed to its limits. Research shows that Britain has lost almost half its plant and animal species. Beavers, these industrious ‘ecosystem engineers’, can be part of the solution but they are only just returning after 400 years of extinction in Britain. They need your help to make a full return.

We are bringing beavers back to Britain for their ability to make our rivers more resilient to the effects of climate change. Their dams stop heavy rain from rushing downstream and causing flooding. Instead, the water soaks into the surrounding land, reducing the risk of drought later on. Water quality improves and new habitats appear. Numerous species of plants, insects, birds and fish start to thrive again. With your support beavers can return and give nature a fighting chance of bouncing back
