Keep Scotland Beautiful is an environmental charity working hard to inspire community environmental action. We support and celebrate the work of more than 200 volunteer-led groups to carry out growing activities, look after their local neighbourhoods and support nature. We’d love to inspire more.

Scotland’s natural and built heritage are under threat from the climate, nature and litter emergencies. We are striving to adapt to climate change, restore nature and biodiversity and tackle litter and waste across our villages, towns and cities, but more needs to be done. Communities are key to supporting the changes we need to create a clean, green and sustainable Scotland but they need guidance and support along the way, and their hard work needs to be recognised and celebrated.

We will support groups across Scotland to improve their place for the benefit of all, through direct action like litter picks, growing plants, trees, fruit and vegetables, creating wildlife corridors and reviving spaces for people and nature. We’ll inspire communities to transform the smallest patch of derelict land or street or even whole neighbourhoods, villages and towns. We’ll provide free mentoring, advice, resources and frameworks, and recognise and celebrate achievements.
