The surge in visitors to Eryri (Snowdonia) highlights the importance of National Parks. However, this influx has put increasing pressure on the landscape, impacting local communities and wildlife. We address these challenges while ensuring everyone has fun and enjoys nature together along the way.

Caru Eryri was created in response to visitor pressures at popular locations where action was needed. Problems such as parking pressures, littering, and footpath erosion are becoming increasingly common, especially during peak tourist seasons. These challenges not only put significant strain on the environment but also the experience of visitors and the well-being of local communities.

With our growing team of volunteers and volunteer leaders, we will tackle issues with mattocks and litter pickers in hand! We'll collect litter in hotspots and remote areas, and mend footpaths while being friendly presence to visitors. We'll continue to coordinate volunteer teams, use public transport to limit strain on the park, and address the root of littering. By involving the community and promoting sustainable tourism, we aim to keep Eryri clean, tidy, and sustainable.
