Lung Ha is Scotland’s leading theatre company for learning-disabled adults. We aim to remove barriers to participation in the arts, platforming disabled voices on Scotland’s stages and developing their creative practice.

Situation
Learning-disabled adults face barriers to accessing the arts in Scotland. Due to diverse access needs, resources and socio-economic factors, a pathway into the arts can be difficult to find. We create a pathway through regular workshop, production development and award-winning performances which platform learning-disabled voices. We have played an integral role in bringing diverse voices to Scotland's stages for over 40 years.
Solution
Lung Ha Theatre Company provides bespoke creative opportunities for and with learning-disabled artists. Since 1984, we have created and delivered a programme which platforms the voices of disabled artists on Scotland's stages. We have produced over 50 original productions, working with over 400 learning-disabled actors and performing in Scotland, across the UK and internationally. We work with participants across Scotland, creating opportunities which foster their creativity.
