Trees are vital for life on earth. But in East Africa, swathes of forests are being wiped out. And in their place, drought, hunger and natural disasters abound. But you can help communities on the frontline of the climate crisis to plant trees that restore forests, heal landscapes and fight hunger.

Situation
In East Africa deforestation is rife. As forests are felled, the effects of the climate crisis are intensifying. Temperatures are rising. Fertile land is vanishing. Natural disasters like floods and droughts are worsening. Habitats are being destroyed. And food and water supplies are becoming ever more fragile. But it’s not too late. We can harness the power of trees to heal landscapes, transform communities and grow a better future.
Solution
Trees heal landscapes. They cool the air, provide shade, grow food and purify water. They protect against natural disasters, bring back rain and fill rivers. So we’re equipping community organisations to plant trees where they make the fastest, most lasting difference. Trees that restore lush and vibrant landscapes, prevent future catastrophes, while also growing food, improving harvests, and creating sustainable incomes for vital things like healthcare and education.
