In 2025, Side-by-Side is coming to Rochdale! Side-by-Side will feature a packed creative programme of making, playing, healing and sharing - curated and crafted by Rochdale’s vibrant communities. We will ask local people “What Would You Do?” and work together to bring their creative ideas to life!

Rochdale is the UK’s 15th most deprived Local Authority – we know that supportive and inclusive creative activities can transform our health, wellbeing and opportunities.
ACCESS Through co-creating with communities, we’ll share power to create an inclusive space where everyone can thrive. OPPORTUNITY With support from partners, we’ve been working with targeted groups to co-produce our festival. “What Would You Do?” will invite our wider community to share their ideas and access everything they need to create accessible cultural activities. IMPACT Creative ideas inspired by our themes of making, playing, healing, and sharing will boost wellbeing for all!
