Africa is home to 25% of all global biodiversity including some of the planet's most iconic species such as elephant, lion, rhino and turtle. But these populations are under threat. Since 1970 wildlife populations in Africa have declined by 76% due to our increasing human footprint, conflict with wildlife, poaching and habitat loss. We need to drive greater investment to conservation initiatives across Africa to reverse this trend and safeguard wildlife and wild spaces for future generations.
