All young people deserve to explore their creativity in ways that are relevant and interesting to them. In Derby, the need is clear, and this project provides regular creative activities in local areas supporting young people to learn new skills, develop relationships and amplify their voices.

Stockbrook, in Derby, is an area of high depravation communities and diverse culture, both of which are underrepresented in Arts and Culture provision. Young people have told us that there is a lack of fun and meaningful activities in their local area and that they don’t feel like the arts is for them. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore their creativity and we will challenge this perception through a dedicated creative hub for young people.
Bramblebrook Creative Hub provides a safe space and regular varied activity programme for young people in their local area. The group is open to anyone; we have reached young people from different communities through community links & school recommendations. Weekly sessions led by a dedicated team of artists explore the interests and stories of young people, responding to their ideas & ambitions, helping them to develop skills & confidence, build relationships and expanding their horizons
