We remove barriers, making art and creativity available to individuals and communities that are often under-served by mainstream arts provision. Working across Scotland, we share our art collection and deliver programmes of creative workshops in communities, to support health and wellbeing.

Situation
Creativity is not just a nice to have, but central to supporting people to live well, and in the creation of healthier, happier and economically flourishing communities. We want to improve access to the arts and creativity and ensure that it is available to everyone at the time when they need it. Our workshops are designed to support adults living with long-term health conditions [mental and/or physical], unpaid caring responsibilities and those experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Solution
Our programmes of regular creative workshops are delivered in communities that are often over-looked and under-served. We provide on-line workshops for adults unable to leave home due to ill health, including long Covid. Our workshops, co-designed with participants, provide: • Improved mental health: Reduced anxiety, increased resilience, and greater self-confidence. • Stronger connections: A sense of belonging and purpose • Combating loneliness: Connecting with others and building networks
