We are raising funds to continue our interactive, playful, heartfelt Shakespeare performances with autistic people in London and Brighton. For many of our autistic participants our performances are the only social and artistic activity where they and their families feel safe, nurtured and welcomed.

Autistic people are very often marginalised from taking part in social and artistic activities which creates more social exclusion for the whole family and exacerbates the core struggles of autism, impacting severely on mental health. Families are reluctant to bring their autistic family member to a public building for an artistic activity for fear of social embarrassment, 'being negatively judged' and lack of experience from the theatre company. High ticket prices can also be a major problem.

We solve this problem through our ongoing interactive performances with our two existing communities of autistic people and their families, which are open for new autistic people to join at any time. Each performance is adapted to the specific needs of our participants, no matter where they are on the spectrum, what language they speak or whether they can even make it into the theatre space. We will perform in the street through a car window if a participant is too anxious to enter a building.
