The seas around Scotland are home to an amazing diversity of life. But nature is struggling where once it flourished. Coastal communities remember when whales and dolphins were abundant before destructive fishing methods, oil and gas drilling, underwater noise and historical whaling devastated the ocean and whale and dolphin populations. We need to restore Scottish seas to benefit people and wildlife. We are all connected by one world ocean. Start local – save the world.

WDC has been working for over 25 years to protect whales and dolphins living in Scottish seas. We mobilise community volunteers, fishers and politicians to work together to reduce the threats whales and dolphins face. We provide expertise to the Scottish Government and conservation managers. We collect and analyse data through citizen scientists that informs conservation management decisions. We connect a movement of people within Scotland to create change and advocate for the ocean.
