Hijinx address a critical and overlooked need: learning disabled and autistic people face the lowest employment rates and are severely underrepresented in society and the arts. Only 30% of autistic adults in the UK are employed, and disabled people make up just 9% of the arts workforce. This lack of opportunity fuels harmful stereotypes, leading to poor health outcomes, isolation, and hate. 90% of learning disabled people experience discrimination, and more than half report feeling lonely.

Hijinx provides a safe, inclusive environment where 160 learning disabled and autistic people achieve independence, confidence, and success through weekly creative programmes, including: Wales' only professional performance training for learning disabled and autistic actors A nationwide community programme building life-skills through drama The UK’s largest talent agency for learning disabled and autistic actors Inspiring films and theatre created by learning disabled and autistic actors
